Autumn is here and there’s no better time to visit London. When staying at one of our hotels, you’ll find endless things to do during the cooler autumn months, including visiting beautiful parks across the city to see the changing colours of the leaves. It’s one of the best times of the year to visit to enjoy lower crowds at the city’s best attractions, especially after the busy summer months. Keep reading as we share some of our favourite things to do this autumn in London.

See the Hanging Leaves in London Parks There are many different parks around the city which we’d recommend visiting during the autumn months. No matter where you are staying, you could take the tube to Kew Gardens or Richmond Park to admire the changing colours of the leaves. We also enjoy walking along Regent’s Canal at this time of the year, which is one of the most picturesque walks in the autumn months. We recommend making the most of the weather in autumn before it gets too cold and you feel like you have to stay indoors more during the winter. Nearest Crown Group Hotel: Mabledon Court Hotel, London Kings Cross St Pancras

Explore the City’s Museums Autumn starts to see the beginning of the cooler weather in London, which offers you the perfect chance to head indoors and see some of the recent additions to the city’s museums. We highly recommend the Natural History Museum, the British Museum, and the Tate Modern, all of which offer something new for visitors who haven’t been to any of them for a while. If there’s a specific exhibit you would like to see, make sure you book it up in advance to avoid disappointment, as London is quite busy at the moment with people catching up from their missed trips during the recent pandemic. Nearest Crown Group Hotel: Hotel Cavendish or Bloomsbury Palace Hotel, London Bloomsbury

Enjoy Fresh Produce from the Autumn Harvest Borough Market is a great example of a place where you can enjoy seasonal produce during the autumn. We recommend checking out any of the local markets near our hotels, which all offer you a chance to enjoy food and drink that’s produced locally in the UK. You’ll find special menus throughout the city to celebrate the changing season, all of which will delight visitors during this time of the year. Consider trying to eat at local chains when staying at any of our hotels, as this is a great way to support businesses that have had a difficult few year. Nearest Crown Group Hotel: Great St Helen Hotel, London Liverpool Street

These are just a few of our favourite things to do in London during the autumn months. We recommend booking your stay at one of our hotels now to avoid disappointment during this season. Many visitors appreciated the cooler weather for touring the top tourist attractions and you’ll also notice the crowd levels are much lower at this time before the Christmas and New Year crowds arrive. Our team will be happy to support you in making a trip to London at this time of year incredibly memorable for you and your family and will be here to answer any questions you have about staying with us.
