One of the most exciting events in the UK sporting calendar is nearly upon us once again. July 1st, 2024 sees the start of Wimbledon 2024. We expect a huge influx in sports fans visiting the city for this event this year, so we encourage you to start thinking about where you’ll stay if you are planning to be in the city at this time. Let’s take a look at everything you need to know about Wimbledon 2024.
When is Wimbledon 2024?
Wimbledon 2024 runs from Monday 1st July, 2024 until Sunday 14th July, 2024. You can expect games throughout the two weeks of the competition, with the middle Sunday offering a full day of play as well. For keen tennis fans, the qualifications will begin on Monday 24th June, 2024, ending a few days later on Thursday 27th June, 2024. How to Get Tickets for Wimbledon
Are you thinking about visiting London for Wimbledon 2024? There are a couple of different ways in which you can still get tickets. The ballot for the year has already been held, but some tour companies still offer stays in London and tickets. However, if you are willing to get up early and brave the long line, we recommend that you join the Wimbledon queue. This in itself is a fun experience that you’ll remember forever, and may allow you to either get a ground pass or a show court ticket.
The ground pass is a great way to access the outside courts and just soak up the atmosphere of the event if you’ve been before. There’s lots to see and do inside the area, so you’ll still find enough to keep you entertained for a full day with a ground pass. If you are already planning ahead, you’ll be able to enter for next year’s ballot around September 2024 for tickets for Wimbledon 2025.
Where to Stay for Wimbledon 2024
